Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 48: April Fools Edition

Due to a unfortunate and significant change in my life, this blog will be coming to an end. Seems like my past has caught up with me and this time, I can't outrun it. I'll explain this later in the week

PSYCHE! Had to think of something for April fools (and some stalling so I could actually come up with some more content) and I couldn't pull this off if I did it yesterday so that's what happened.

Anyhow, here's some content for today:

Lara Long Hair Mod (Tomb Raider)

One of many new models I found and really like. I've been looking for some casual clothes apart from the same T-shirt combo that people just pump out so this immediately caught my attention. Makes for a very different look and actually adds some variety to the selection of wardrobe.

Sam Casual (Tomb Raider)

Another great model I found. On the opposite end, I was having a hard time finding any casual clothes for Sam so when I found this, I was immediately interested. As with Lara, this makes for a very different look.

Imprisonment

You may remember some pictures I did with Devil Jin in a Cell. Well, I'm considering actually making a picture series out of it and made these first three just to gauge the direction.

Sub-Zero Vs Frost

You'll definitely remember seeing these from a previous entry. This is the beginning of another picture series and I figured with these costumes, it would be interesting to flush out that storyline from MKDA

That's it for this week, hope you had a funny and decent April Fools day. I'll be back to business as usual sunday. See you next time.

Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 47: Slightly Cold Afternoon Edition

Welcome to this week's entry. Again kinda short on content as the class work I had was abit bigger this time around. Anyhow, two new models as well as one of my first attempts at a Tekken Unlimited pose. So here we go:

Sub-Zero Cape (MK Vs DC)

Inspired by Sub-Zero's ending in MK Vs DC, along comes this model. Its somewhat rough around the edges with the some shading issues in the shoulders and some clipping with the cape (also in the shoulders), but its a very good execution overall. Definitely something I'd like to see in the MK9 mods.

Frost (MK9)

This one really caught my attention in the search for custom models. It uses the sindel model as a base and a very interesting color combination. Only small gripe is in the posability of the cloth material as well as the choice of mask, which looks like its from Reptile (perhaps Sub-Zero's mask could've been a better choice). Overall though, very neat.

Tekken Unlimited: Jun Kazama (Shunya Yamashita)

Today marks the first attempt at recreating the Tekken Unlimited Pictures in XNA. For this attempt, I chose what appears to have been the most controversial: The Shunya Yamashita art for Jun Kazama.
Using the legs from the Bikini model, the boots from the alternate TTT2 model and the waist from the original TTT2 model (all by BoobsonX). It took a while to navigate and find the parts to turn off, but it worked. Its not exact, but I feel its quite close.

That's it for this week. Its been a hectic weekend, but hopefully I'll provide more content next week. See you next time.

Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 46: St Patrick's Day/Springbreak Edition

Greetings everyone. Apologies for this entry as well, it was a last minute decision that quickly got difficult and took longer then necessary. Anyhow, this is maunly to showcase three new bikini models I've acquired, which will soon be part of the Summer special later this year. Anyhow, here they are:

Eliza (Tekken Revolution)

Leo Kliesen (Tekken Tag Tournament 2

Sheva Alomar (Resident Evil)

That's it for this week's rather late entry. Stay tuned as I try to duplicate the Tekken Unlimited Screens. See you next time.

Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 45: The Remastered Edition

On this week's entry, I have nothing new to present. However. I do have pictures using just a tad bit of my new found knowledge of contrast (which is likely the one thing I've always lacked in my pictures to make them seem more lifelike). So here's a series of pictures, with the untouched originals posted and then the new Touched up ones. So here we go:

Alisa Bosconovich (Tekken)

Original

                                                                        Touched up

Johnny Cage (Mortal Kombat)

Original

                                                                        Touched up

Elisabeth (Bioshock)

Original

 Touched up

Raidan (Metal Gear)

Original

 Touched up

That's it for this week, just wanted to post those and get some feedback. If people like the touched up ones better, I may redo all of my original pictures as well as do all my new ones in the same way. See you next time.

Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 44: Winter Snowstorm/Mishima Fight preview Edition

Welcome to today's afternoon edition, the first edition for March. Once again, not a lot done as I hoped but I do have a particular theme for this week so lets get to it.

Jin vs Kazuya: The Standoff

Decided since I have both Jin and Kazuya (as well as their devil forms) to do some posing with the two for a potential fight series as I did before. Here's the first pics:

Just a slow build up so far, the real action pics later.

So that's it for this week, just have been lazy and haven't really thought of anything for this week (well the racing season is in full swing so yeah,).  At this point, I'm not gonna promise more because I've done a terrible job at saying that only for it not to happen but I can guarantee that there will be pictures next week. Until then, see you next time.
