Adventures in XNA Posing Entry 109: Back in business Edition

Welcome to a actual entry this week and the first for June. for the last few days, my computer has had to be fixed and as a result, I was not about to post an entry this week. Now however, its back and I've put in a lot of extra time to make sure that I got lot of content into this entry to make up for the lack of any this week so here we go:

Dodge Challenger

One of two surprising models I found in my search and I'm glad I did find it. While its limited in the bones (just the wheels and doors), it is still an excellent model to have. My only minor complaint s the funky reflection on the front wheels. Still, its a wonderful one to have and for me, its nice to have another car to use.

Pagani Zonda R

Another model I was surprised to find and was excited for. Unfortunately, it fizzled out quickly as soon as I saw that the it had no bones and that pretty meant no moveable wheels, doors, bonnet, clamshell or anything. At least its detailed so there is that, just would have preferred to have had moving parts.

Daria Gmod Conversion

Discovered this model and while I have no idea what its from, it looked interesting enough to download. Its my first biped Model so it meant that I had to learn abit about what constituted the foot and leg since obviously I wasn't dealing regular Human legs. Despite the questionable bone text layout, I managed to figure it all out. Overall, an interesting model. Takes abit to get used to, but its great once you figure it out.

MKMSZ Assassins

An excellent group of MK9 Meshmods, by far the best attempt at recreating those characters from MKMSZ. These look to be an interesting and possible future edition to some more fan work (If I ever get around to doing them that is).

Shang Tsung (MKDA)

Another fantastic MK9 Meshmod, this is another one of the best. From the boots and gloves down to the scarf, this nails Shang Tsung from Deadly Alliance. Was fun trying to mimic his poses, only thing that would've made it complete would be a Soul and possibly something that would turn his eyes green.

Haberstaght

I don't often come across old planes so this was quite the surprise for. While the lack of a rear wheel is knowing at the aviation fan inside, its still an excellent model to have. It has working bones for the ailerons and propeller, which means you can do some great flying pictures. I think I smell some movie references coming on.

Wii U Gamepad

And finally, the last piece of the "Next Gen" Console collection after getting the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 . As someone who's held one of these, the detail is excellent and pretty much is true to life. it also comes in these two colors. I'm considering making a variety of game screens for this and possibly some funky color options (because Nintendo).

That's it for today, I will be posting up just as much if not more on Sunday. I'm also updating the Memorial Day entry with some info, I meant to do it before but was in such a rush. See you next time.

Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 108: Memorial Day Edition

Hello and welcome to a special edition today. As promised (and barely on time), a entry full of new models I've downloaded. Get this though: This is only half of them. So just in this entry alone, you'll see many of the new models I've downloaded. So while you're waiting for your Burgers and wieners to cook, have a look at this week's pics:

Kunimitsu P3(TTT2)

Considering there is a severe lack of the custom costumes done by those artists for Tekken Tag Tournament 2, you can imagine the massive shock I got in finding this. In fact, this appears to be the only one of those, making it more special (as if it being the first one ever wasn't enough). Love it absolutely and even better, love the fact that I don't have to move the weapon every time I move the hand. Now if only there was a update for XNA that allowed for weapons clipping. Anyhow, great model and one worth downloading.

Lara Sport (TR)

Yet another costume added to my already bulging collection of different outfits for Lara. This one in particular is a workout theme attire, which looks great and will compliment a scene I have in mind once a high quality console model of Cassie Cage's alt comes out.

Raven P2 (T6)

Chalk up another excellent find, not only is it a Raven Model finally) but its his P2 outfit. Once again, another high quality extraction from XKamsonX. I could very well see some future cross-series Ninja fights happening in the near future.

Jin Kazama (TK4)

One of the best meshmods created, this brings the Tekken 4 Alt to current standards. Despite the fact that the gloves aren't very T4, this recreation is incredible and manages to nail all the other important elements of the costume. At some point, I'm gonna have to consider possibly recreating a Tekken 4 fight and this is likely gonna be the first model I use for that.

Quan Chi (MK4)

The amount of well done MK9 Classic Skin mods is too damn high, not that I 'm complaining since it means great master pieces like this are around. There was another fan mod, but it was nothing more then a recolor whereas this is a full on mod with all the right details. Obviously, his poses as a result were fun to do. Since I was on abit of a memory lane stroll through old MK games, this might be a character I could use to recreate some scenes.

Reiko Hinomoto (RRXX)

And now for something completely out of nowhere: A character from Rumble Roses. I first saw this model and instantly remembered that name and decided "meh, why not? Its different". Bah gawd, what the hell have I been missing? Admittedly, I never payed much attention to this game so I never really fawned over any of its characters. Now that I have, I can't help but ask myself "Why did I miss out on all this?" Definitely will be adding the others once I find them. For now, just looking at Reiko works fine for me.

Sub-Zero (MKX)

Another excellent MKX Console model brought to us by Sticklove. We now have Sub-Zero in its excellent Primary costume and even better is that you can change his masks as well as turn on that Ice Glow on his arms. You can even turn on his ice weapons. I mean no offense to the others out there, but Sticklove's extractions are excellent quality. These really are the shining examples of the current gen Console and the ability to have those options for posing just makes this worth downloading.

Nina Williams (TKR)

Seems like some of the Female Tekken Revolution models look better in XNA then they do in the game, such as here with Nina. At best, I felt she was ok but was off somehow. In XNA though (Free of Revolutions odd lighting), she looks...right. I think she actually looks better then her Tekken Tag Tournament 2 model and I didn't think I'd say that considering the girls in Revolution look way too dolled up (and in some cases, unsettling). I suspect though that without revolution's lighting, they can actually look great.

Dark Kahn (MK Vs DC)

From one of the worst MK games came one of the few great gems. This was a good find for me as I actually liked Dark Kahn, he had the feel of this old school demonic menage that just wants nothing but chaos (kinda like Havik, but without the twisted bending that defies human physiology). One thing I think would be neat would be to have just a massive big boss brawl between him and True Ogre and many others. Just nothing but overkill supreme.

Honoka (DOA5)

My first DOA character in a long while and I choose her specifically because an idea sparked in my head to have some neat Female Ninja battles between DOA, MK and Tekken Characters. Her options are nice too as you have three models, one of which is in casual clothes. I've gotten the idea thought out so much so that I've actually devised not only this stance but two variations to it as well (one as a more aggressive stance while the other is more of a evasive style).

Goro (MK9)

While I'm aware that Goro is in MKX, his model isn't quite here yet so I'm waiting for that. Meanwhile, this will have to do and that's fine by me as I'm actually looking to recreate some MK1 and MK4 poses with this model. Model is excellent quality and will make posing fantastic.

Scorpion (MKX)

Another quality Extraction from Sticklove. As with Sub-Zero, he has options to have all his weapons in his hands and can be Maskless if you choose. This is yet another model I just couldn't help but feel dumbfounded on with all the amazing detail going on.

And that's it for this week. Barely was able to do it all, but its done (and on a rainy day of all days, what luck). Thanks for looking and for my viewers in the US, don't forget to thank those Men and Women who have put their lives on the line for your freedom. Have a safe Memorial Day and see you next week.

Adventures In XNA Posing Entry 107: Preview Edition

Hello and welcome to a very late entry. Due to a rather busy Finals week (Capped off by attending a Graduation), I had no time to do pictures for this week's entry as I initially thought. I decided instead to post up preview images of just a few of a lot of new models I downloaded. Here they are:

Again, that's just only a small bit amount of the many downloaded models I was able to download last sunday. Of course, it'll be on Memorial day so expect a lot of it (and I mean a lot now that school is over). That's it for now, hopefully you guys will have by then readied your Barbecue Grills and got your cold drinks going. See you  next week.
